For its fourth edition, ICFE is coming back to İstanbul Expo Center, with dates set for January 6 to 9, 2027. More than 500 exhibitors and about 35,000 industry professionals from more than 150 countries are expected to attend, creating new openings for collaboration and cross-border trade.

Istanbul, Türkiye: Industry figures will gather at the Istanbul Fair Center (İFM) for The International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE) 2027, scheduled for January 6 to 9, 2027. Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. organises the event, with support coming from the Southeastern Anatolia Carpet Exporters Association (GAHIB) and the İstanbul Carpet Exporters Association (IHIB).

The event links Türkiye’s global strength in carpet production with international trade, bringing sector professionals to Istanbul, from manufacturers, importers and wholesalers to architects, interior designers and chain stores.

Bringing worldwide carpet trade together

International buyers will discover Türkiye’s production capacity, design know-how and strategic geography, and exhibitors will have the opportunity to enter new markets, develop export connections and form partnerships worldwide.

ICFE 2027 is expected to welcome over 500 exhibitors and some 35,000 visitors from more than 150 countries.

Exhibitors will have the opportunity to establish fresh business relationships at the fair with professional buyers from major carpet and floor covering markets, among them Germany, Italy, China, India, Belgium, the USA, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Central Asian countries.

Istanbul as a natural trading hub

Istanbul lies where Europe and Asia meet, and its advanced transport and logistics infrastructure strengthens the international appeal of ICFE.

Thanks to the city’s extensive direct flight network, the fair is easily accessible to visitors from around the world, while exhibitors can reach multiple markets from a single location.

Customs change aimed at overseas exhibitors

Global carpet industry heads to Istanbul for ICFE 2027 in January: visitors and exhibitors at ICFE 2027, Istanbul

The Directorate General of Customs, which operates within the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye, has introduced an important regulation intended to support the exhibition and increase international participation. Under Türkiye’s customs legislation, the temporary customs duty on products brought in by international exhibitors, previously set at 100% of their FOB (Free on Board) value, has been lowered to 10% exclusively for ICFE 2027.

Close cooperation between the relevant public authorities and representatives of the industry produced the measure, which is expected to ease the financial burden considerably for overseas companies exhibiting high-value products. The change is also likely to broaden the number of countries represented among exhibitors and to raise international trade volume at the exhibition.

Design and knowledge sharing take centre stage

Alongside the trade floor, ICFE 2027 will host a series of events aimed at fostering innovation, sector development and knowledge exchange.

Carpet Talks, which attracted strong interest at earlier editions, will return as leading industry figures discuss design, production, branding and the transformation of the sector.

Through the Carpet Design Awards, innovative carpet designs will be showcased on an international stage before an audience of industry professionals. The Carpet Workshop, meanwhile, will inspire visitors with a special concept that brings designers from various countries together to collaborate on production.

Connecting professionals through business

ICFE 2027 offers a trade platform where manufacturers, exporters, importers, distributors, wholesalers, chain stores, architects, interior designers, decorators and other professionals can explore new business opportunities.

Attendees will be able to meet new suppliers, follow emerging trends, hold B2B meetings and expand their networks internationally at the fair.

At the previous edition, 445 exhibitors and 31,410 visitors from 127 countries took part, and with ICFE 2027 the aim is to strengthen the event’s position as one of the leading carpet and flooring fairs worldwide through wider participation and increased international visibility.
